Choose the qualification, language and fee category carefully.
France offers different institutional and fee structures. A useful shortlist explains the qualification awarded, the teaching language and the actual charges for your status, then connects those choices to a practical enrollment plan.

THE DETAILS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Beyond the brochure
Country-specific facts and practical questions to build a stronger study plan.
01
Compare the exact qualification
Ask about the qualification awarded, programme content and language of instruction. Compare the institution and degree together, especially when looking at specialist or private schools. Request written confirmation of any prerequisites or language waivers.
Campus France distinguishes public, private and other institutional fees, with different rules for non-EU students and exemptions. Do not use an EU fee as your international budget. Ask the institution to confirm your fee category for the intended academic year.
CVEC is a separate annual student contribution for many initial degree enrollments. Some students are exempt or outside its scope. If it applies, obtain the payment or exemption certificate required for administrative registration.
Keep tuition, CVEC, housing deposits, insurance questions and travel in separate budget lines. Ask your university which arrival and registration steps must be completed first. Use its current instructions rather than a checklist from another programme.
We turn the requirements into a clear plan for your profile, your budget and your next step.

Questions worth asking
Are public and private tuition fees the same?
No. Fees vary by institution type, programme and student status. Obtain the relevant international fee schedule before accepting.
If I am exempt from CVEC, can I ignore it?
If your enrollment is within its scope, you may still need an exemption certificate. Follow the CVEC instructions and your institutionโs registration checklist.
